Die Grosse Entscheidungs

The Swiss-German broadcaster SF (Schweizer Fernsehen) have announced the four songs that will complete the lineup for the Swiss national final, Die Grosse Entscheidungsshow, to take place on the 15th of December in Kreuzlingen. The French (RTS) and Italian (RSI) language broadcasters in Switzerland had previously announced which entries they were sending. The four entries from SF make up the final nine that will compete to represent Switzerland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2013 in Malmö. The winner will be decided by 100% televote.

The lineup is as follows:

  • Anthony Bighead - Do The Monkey (SF)
  • Heilsarmee - You and Me (SF)
  • Jesse Ritch - Forever and a Day (SF)
  • Melissa - The Point of No Return (SF)
  • Carrousel - J'avais Rendez-vous (RTS)
  • Nicholas Fraissinet - Lève-toi (RTS)
  • Nill Klemm - On My Way (RTS)
  • Ally - Catch Me (RSI)
  • Chiara Dubey - Bella Sera (RSI)

So it appears that Lys Assia and NewJack failed to convince the public and the panel of experts that they deserved a place at the final. Also missing out are former Swiss entrant Mariella Farré who represented Switzerland in 1983 and 1985. Magdalena Tul, the Polish Eurovision entrant from 2011 also missed out. Man Meadow, the Swedish duo who took part in the Polish national finals in 2008 and 2009 also missed out on one of the four final spots.
